Sounds great Joel. A 'cross bike should be fine for the most part, except for the 10-20% that's mountain bikey. Then you'll just have to slow down ;D

My "loaner" turned out to be too small, so I'll be hitting it on the CX bike tomorrow... looking forward to it ;D

 Sunday 24 Hour Course
« Result #3 Today at 5:56am »

We're going to do the 24 Hour course on Sunday.

The pace will be mellow and all are welcome. Meet at the Wilbur Road trailhead (the turn around at the end of road) at 10:00 AM. The course is 14-15 miles. I'm leaving my house at 9:25-9:30ish if anyone wants a longer ride.

See you there.

So how was it?

I slowpoked my way around the Hangman Loop solo for about 25 miles in the dark. I think it worked, because now I'm HUNGRY!

This just in: since the South Hill ride is only an hour and a half or so, I plan to do some more riding after this. I'll probably head to Riverside via People's Park-ish. So if you're in for the long haul, pack a leftover turkey sandwich and let's ride! (Or, call me if you'd like to join in for the second half.)

 Lose the Turkey Ride
« Result #7 on Nov 26, 2009, 2:52pm »

Since you've probably eaten too much turkey, dressing, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie, it's time to lose that fat!

Meet at the end of 14th Street on the South Hill at 12:30. We'll pedal around a bit then head back for leftovers to put on what we just burned off.

See you there!

Lonnie and I went to Beacon yesterday for a bit of riding. I brought the camera and he brought the air.

Enjoy.

Turkey Day Ride -- California Style
« Result #9 on Nov 26, 2009, 12:16pm »

This one's for you Alan (people do ride bikes in California when the weather's nice).

It was about 60 degrees and everyone was wearing arm and leg warmers...haha

Total riders: 175
Total mileage: 48

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We are having dinner with neighbors at noon, so I'll head out on a ride later in the afternoon. Sounds like a bunch of people will be out enjoying a nice ride to burn off dinner. Looks like a light breeze and about the mid 70's this afternoon.
