So the Steelers are in the playoffs and I want to ride my bike today. I can't justify sitting in front of the TV for three hours doing nothing while at the same time I can't get motivated enough to ride outdoors in this sloppy weather. So I've devised the Total Football Workout. So while watching the game on my trainer, here's what I'll be doing:
5 yard penalty = 15 seconds of high cadence (150-170 rpm) 10 yard penalty = 30 sec. high cadence 15 yard penalty = 45 sec. high cadence 20+ yard penalty = 60 sec. high cadence
ANY amount of points scored = Standing in highest gear for 30 seconds
Interception or Fumble = 1 min of one-leg drills (30 sec. each leg)
Normal change of possession = 10 sec. standing
First down = 10 sec. high cadence
Play being reviewed by officials = Stand the whole time
Beer commercial = super easy gear recovery pedaling
Any mention of Paris Hilton = 3 min. standing
