There simply is not enough time in the day or room on the course to have more than the 11 fields already planned.
We plan to have four separate Junior fields, with eight separate scored categories (boy and girls, A,B,C,D). We plan to have 6 Masters fields: Men A,B,C, D and Women's A and B, and as a bonus, one elite field (Senior Men 4/5, per USAC rule women 3's can also race this).
We want to focus on hosting the best quality race for the Masters and Juniors. It's their weekend.

I understand the reasoning, but do we expect a smaller turnout due the fact that with no senior fields some people won't make the trip if half the family doesn't have a race? I ask while debating the trip myself since there is a race for me but not one for the young "trophy" wife. ;-)

Good news Dan. We've looked at the day and we are able to run ONE elite category. So...we're going to have a Men 4/5 field. If your lovely trophy wife would like to race with 4/5 men, she's more than welcome to enter. edit: oh, I forgot, she's a cat1/2. Guess not Our race flyer should be up this weekend! Mike

The beauty of putting on a race is that there will always be a few complainers, or people telling you it should have been done. :-)
I will let Kari know that if she makes the trip she is limited to being an athletic supporter, or she can upgrade to volunteer status if she so desires. :-)
After skipping FF to race in SoCal she just might be too "Pro" for Spokane racing anyways. All joking aside I am looking forward to coming over and racing. -dan
