Is there anything I'm supposed to do with regards to category upgrading? If I remember correctly, some of the upgrading is supposed to be done automatically once you've done a certain number of races, placed in enough races, etc.
So I logged in at the USAC's site, and they don't show any race results listed for me at all. I don't really care which category I'm in, but I was just checking if I'm neglecting to do something here.

Tom, for the purposes of the Twilight Series, it really doesn't matter what category you are because the races are "self seeding" meaning that you pick which race you want to do. But for all other races, category matters. By USAC rules, you can upgrade from category 5 to category 4 after doing 10 races as a cat 5. So you're probably just about ready to upgrade. To upgrade, all you do is go to the USAC "mypage" and click the upgrade button. Then just enter that you've done 10 races. For reference you might want to include a link to the Twilight Series results page. As a side note: upgrading from 5-4 only requires race experience. To upgrade from 4-3, you need to have results as a 4. Therefore, you may want to consider what field your racing with in the Twilight Series if you have any aspirations to upgrade to cat 3 (which you should)

Thanks for the info, Mike! That means I can upgrade to Cat4 after a couple more mass-start races, and then work from there
