I might be rubbish at it, but being a team event it sounds like alot of fun. I have nothing aero except my pointy face, so equipment might need addressing, but I think i'd be willing to give it a go. A few other 35+ peeps and we could sneak into masters.

Well, fiddlesticks. In my day we'd have to get up, walk accrossed the room to change the channel on the TV! None of this remote-control nonsense!
I'd still be up for taking part with a group in another class, if any will have me.

Tim, if your handlebar clamp diameter happens to be 26.0mm (not the oversized 31.8mm that's becoming increasingly common), then you're welcome to borrow my Syntace C2 aero bars. Aero bars are far & away the top equipment enhancement, expect to pick up 1-2mph from that alone. LMK if you want to try them out; they do take some getting used to, but they're worth it.

I'm not really clear on this rule for Team Time Trials. The manual says that riders can use; Rule 3F3 says, "Only road bicycles shall be used", and doesn't specify beyond that what is allowed. I'm not sure if TT bikes or aero bars are permitted in TTT's. I'll get clarification ASAP.

I would be up for being on any team, although I am technically a cat 5. My wife and kids are out of town until the 11th of August, so I'm up for getting out of town and causing some trouble. In other words, if anyone needs a 40 year old cat 5, I'm here...

There are a couple ways you could approach this: 1) get a cat 4/cat 5 SRV team together or 2) get a Master C SRV team together (35+ cat 4/5, 45+Cat 3) You guys would be competitive in either category, but I think you'd find more team mates in a pure Cat 4/5 squad. I got clarification on the rules: aero bars are indeed permitted in TTT's. I have a set of 31.0 aero bars someone could borrow. And more food for thought; if you're traveling over there for the TTT on Saturday, you might as well stay for the Kirkland Crit on Sunday. www.kirklandcriterium.com/

Mike, you beat me. I was going to say there's also the kirkland crit the same weekend. Let's make it a two event trip. I am down to join whichever team that needs me. FYI, i will be in seattle from mid-next week to at least the race so i might not be around if you would like to practice rotation.

Tim, I don't think you're old enough to be a master? So you're looking at the 4/5 field. Although, looking at the race flyer, there may be some allowance for mixing of categories among those in the same squad. You guys should definitely practice rotations. TTT's are a unique skill (and I can say from personal experience, not as easy as they make it look in the TdF)
BTW, Sarah and I are officiating the TTT and Kirkland crit. So I can't be there in the capacity of "team support". ;D

Stu are you Cat3,4 or 5? I'm 5, I think Tim's 5, Sean is 5, so we may have a Cat 4/5 team here between us four if we want. We'll just have to make TimW be the workhorse of the group . Of course if more show interest, other options open up. It did say in the pdf that all members must say the same team name on your license, so double check yer licenses.

Bummer. I got my license before I joined SRV. I don't think I put SRV on the app, but I'll double check. I think it is at my office.

I'm going to pass on this one- the last MT race of the Indie Series is on the same day. I'd rather see if i can finish a MT race without breaking any bones.
