it was a bit icier than i anticipated today. slid out on glenrose. was able to get my left foot out of pedal just before hitting ground, unfortunately.. Caught my foot underneath me just as i hit. I was lying in the middle of the road at 6:30.. When I looked down at my foot it was no longer aligned with my leg.
Had to have it reduced in er and then went to the or for plating of my fractured distal fibula. Lying here at Sacred Heart. No weight bearing for 4 to 6 weeks.

That's real bad news, Stu Will you be able to do some gentle lap swimming or something after a couple weeks? How'd your bike come out of it?

don't know how the back fared. I assume it's ok. Sara took it back up to the house and I haven't seen it. Tom, as for lap swimming, that probably won't work since I never learned how to swim. My surgeon (who's a cyclist) said that wind trainer in 3 or 4 weeks is possible.
Might have to have you all over for some refreshments in the near future.
