I am planning to ride Saturday at 12:00 noon Leave Downriver Grill and out to Four Mounds. I would like to get 2+ hours in depending on the weather.

I could maybe do that. I would be looking for closer to 2hrs than the +hrs but the ride location is close to home so I could always bail if I needed to.

The weather report has Saturday at 40 degrees with a 40% chance of rain I like to think of it as a 60% chance of not raining.

50 degrees and blue sky here in the DC suburbs. The only bikes we have are Gary Fisher Hybrids, but we might have to take them out for a loop. Have fun on Four Mounds If you find a quarter on the climb, don't stop! Ron B is trying to put time into you.

70 and sun here in AZ! Doing a 50 mile run ride with a new club. They sound similar to SRV. Hoping it will be a good ride. Hope you have at least ok weather for a ride up there in WA.

Rick can we borrow a couple of degrees and a little dry air? We’ll give it back tomorrow. ;D 40 degree and scattered showers…. For the 16th of January that’s not too bad.

Awesome ride today!!! There were eight of us we did 42 miles the weather was great considering it is the middle of January. The pace was fast to very fast with some sudden bursts of pain. It was Alan’s first ride back after his broken leg. In case anyone is wondering the broken leg hasn’t slow him down.

Well, glad you had a good ride! 70 and sunny for the ride here today. The club is not really what I was looking for, but I got a good 35 in. Some good hill climbing so that helped test the repaired knee. Looks like today was our last nice day for the next week. Lots of rain coming in with cooler temps, so most of these people will not be out riding. I'll get at least a couple rides in, but I really don't feel like getting soaked. Sorry, no warm or dry air to send your way. This is the start of our winter rainy season.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Truth be told, I've been secretly training while my leg mended. Want to know my secret: since I didn't ride for one-and-a-half months I'm really rested and I've been carbo-loading with Christmas cookies and lots of beer. It's a training regiment that I recommend. And one that I can actually keep up with...

Alan, Whatever works is great! I did a similar recovery plan from my knee surgery. I managed to put in 150 miles the second week out from surgery. Good recovery drinks helped ;D
