Winter Solstice Ride Lives! Celebrate the coming of winter: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_SolsticeIt's going to be a wintery ride around the streets of Spokane, hitting all the hot spots. We'll start the ride at Alan's house on N. Monroe and ride south to the downtown area. The Viking? The Swamp? Baby Bar? We'll end the night back at Alan's house with a big fire and BBQ in the back yard. Everyone's invited. Email spokanerocketvelo@gmail.com for directions to Alan's place. Ride report from last year: www.spokanerocketvelo.com/wintersolsticeride2007

The Solstice is looking a little cool! No problem, we wont be riding too far between stops and we'll have a bonfire and warm chilli at Alan's place waiting for us. We're arranging for a SAG wagon as well (no we aren't as tough as the FBC).

As the forcast gets colder, and the roads look crappier, the ride gets abreviated. Lets still meet at Alan's place at 7PM tomorrow...

Update: Meet at my house (4214 N Monroe) at 7 p.m. Park on the side streets (if you can) because the alley isn't paved. We'll first head to the Swinging Doors (north of my house 1 mi.) for food and drink Then we'll head south to the Viking (about 2 miles from Swinging Doors). Depending on how we're feeling, we might hit up one more north-side bar. Then it's back to my house where I've spent way too many hours clearing our patio of snow. We'll have bratwurst, chili, and some other food along with a stand-back-it's-gonna-blow! bonfire. Hope to see you there! Call me if you need directions. Alan

We will bring killer chilli and killer cornbread.
Street Report: the side streets that are packed down from cars are getting somewhat ridable. The main streets are ridable but drivers are more idiotic than ever. Untrafficed side streets, forget about it. I'm not sure if we'll make it from the Doors to the Viking, but hey, why not try.
