I won't be in town next TNR. Home for the holidays. The side streets out there are dangerous. It may be safer to ride trail? We have done X-mas rides with slippery roads before.

I'm up for a trail ride if they're ridable. The National Weather Service predicts significant snowfall on Wednesday and Thursday, I wonder how much we'll actually get.

No worries, studs will prevent all tipping over.

I'm up for a ride tonight and I'd like to stay off the roads. Trails, anyone? I don't we'd need studs for the trails. What about meeting at the 7 Mile Bridge at 7:10, ride at 7:15?

I'm planning to go. I'll plan on 7:10 at the 7-Mile bridge unless there's a change of plans announced before I roll out (in which case I won't know about it, and will be riding alone).
I bought a bunch of those chemical toe-warmer packets, and I'll bring the extras in case anyone wants some. They're not a night-&-day difference, but they seemed to help when I tried a set the other day.

Rode home from work and it was painful. Are you guys riding out there or driving out?

Rode home from work and it was painful. Are you guys riding out there or driving out? I'm riding the Orange Whale tonight, and keeping it slow & low. Gonna run out to the garage and see if I can brew up some makeshift pogies (covers for bars/controls to shield from wind/rain), because my gloves are not quite warm enough for this. Otherwise I'll just plastic-bag my hands for the ride over.

Some folks might balk at single-digit temps. I just laugh in their faces. See you out there.

I'm driving out to 7- mile then (then maybe I'll ride for a litte). Leaving my house at 6:40 if anyone needs a ride.

I got a little video: Thanks for the ride home, Mike That was a pretty cold ride. The warm car felt great.

I got a little video: Thanks for the ride home, Mike That was a pretty cold ride. The warm car felt great. No problem. Thanks for the use of the Seca! This morning at daybreak I retraced your footsteps around my yard. No sign of your safety glasses. The snow is coming again, so we might not find them 'till spring

It was cold enough during the ride that my phone malfunctioned. When I opened it this morning, the screen read "77*00****+**.p+p+W*+++******000 0000000"
I don't speak "phone" language, but I'm assuming it was my phone's way of saying, "You're a fool! Why are you out in single digit weather?!"
And it's because of that sissy attitude I'll be getting a new phone soon...
