We will be meeting at the Rosauers store parking lot on 57th and Regal on South Hill at 10:00am and follow pretty much the same route as last Saturday with mountain bikes or cross bikes, whatever your weapon of choice. There is some pretty frequent climbing involved and we may take an exploratory road or two along the way. Plan on about 2-3 hours for the ride. That'll get you home in time to play nice with the wife, girl friend or the one your with. Where: Rosauers store parking lot on 57th and Regal on South Hill Time: 10:00 am sharp Miles: 25 to 30 Terrain: Rolling to 15% grade, 40% pavement, 60% gravel Total Estimated Elevation: 2500+ feet

I know there was some talk of driving down to Lewiston for a ride, so there's one idea to kick around. I'll be working Saturday, so I can't go myself.

Lewiston is definitely on the list but the forecast temp at 10 am for Lewiston is 29 degrees and Spokane, 23 degrees. Neither condusive to a fast road ride. If I am going to drive 190 miles round trip, sitting 4 hours in a car burning $3 gas, I think I'll wait until Lewiston hits at least 45 degrees to make it an enjoyable experience.
We'll wait a couple of days and see if the forecast changes on the temp side. Has anyone been on the South Hill Bluff to see if the trails are clear?

I was down there one week ago, and it was pretty hopeless. Here's a couple pics: The trails just below the rim are the first ones to thaw, and could be borderline rideable, but that's not a very long ride, plus they're the trails with all the foot traffic.

That's just depressing Tom, but thanks for the recon. Just spoke to Jerry and we're looking at two different possiblities. One would start at the Seven Mile Bridge and head west onto some good gravel roads and the other is to start at Albertson's on 57th and Regal again to do the ride we did last Saturday. Lost's of climbing and good training. Anyone planning to ride with us Saturday have a preference?

I can't make it, so I vote for the same route as last week, except do it twice. ;D

34 and light snow...I think I'll wait till about 2 and see what the temp is then, have a good one. We missed you David. Lot's of walls to climb on the route we took today. Temp was not bad at all and the snow did not bother us. The hills challenging enough to keep us pretty toasty. We'll catch you on the next one.
