We've run into an unforeseen problem with our Squadra clothing order. We did not receive very much interest in clothing this year.
Squadra apparently requires a 25 piece minimum order (actually, it's hard to get a solid answer from Squadra about anything, but this is what they've told us). This means that the club would have to buy about $2000 in clothing to satisfy the the few orders that we've received. 2009 is the last year that we'll be using the current generation of clothing artwork. We're going to redesign the clothing with new artwork and sponsors for 2010. We don't think we'd be able to sell the extra 2009 clothing that we'd need to purchase to satisfy Squadra's minimum; it would essentially be wasted clothing.
For those that have already placed orders, here's what we're going to do: We will contact you individually. We will fill your orders from current stock as we have them available and refund any payments you already made if we don't have your item in stock.
The club has been using Squadra for six years, placing over $40,000 in total orders with them. Unfortunately we have never found them to be overly customer friendly, despite considering ourselves good customers. We are currently researching new clothing companies for our 2010 clothing order. We expect this to occur in the summer. We'll have to improvise in the meantime. We'll make sure that new club members who are racing will be able to borrow jersey's to use at the races.
I apologize for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions about the clothing order process.
