We will plan on riding the Frozen Flatlands Course this Saturday. The temps are predicted to be cool. Stay tuned for a start time. We may do a 12 noon start if the temps are to cold. Will keep you informed. This will be a minimum 50 mile ride up to 70 miles depending on where we start.

At some point, you have to pull the trigger and make a decision. We are getting into race season and cannot afford to let cold weather get in the way. We'll tenatively plan on meeting at the Trading Post parking lot on Highway 195 at 10am. The forcast is for a high of 35 degrees and a loww of 22 degrees, so start time will not matter much as far as temps are concerned. Be sure to keep an I on this post for any changes in this ride. We will only ride as many miles as the group desires. That will be between 20 and 70 miles. This will be strictly zone 2 riding for me as I do not want to do a steady 25 mph in cold air. We will go up Highway 195 and tie into the course either at Bruce Rd or West of Spangle. At that point, we can decide how far we want to go. Stay tuned for any updates!!!

Weather for Saturday looks increasingly cold and snowy. Is anyone interested in doing a ride Saturday ? If I do not hear from anyone, via a post to this forum or by email/phone, I will just do something on my own. At this time I have heard ZERO interest in a ride for this weekend.

I'm thinking San Jose Costa Rica? ? Forcast does not look that wet but the winds appear that they will be 15mph - 18mph. I am thinking of setting up the trainer in front of the big screen down stairs at this point.

Some "wind training" maybe? I'd have more interest without the rain/snow forecast.
Actually I was already looking to my stationary trainer for this weekends session(s). Otherwise I'd be out riding somewhere.
The forecast just isn't impressing me at this point. Wednesday through Friday is the next possible break.
Oh Yay...more DVDs.

Yeah Eric, just looked at NOAA...Wind at 14 mph, Wind Chill at 25 degrees. If anyone want to ride in that mess, their on their own for this weekend. People are always welcome to organize a ride themselves.
I am going to call this Saturday off unless someone else wants to torture themselves.

found 8 willing riders. south hill, up thorpe, cheney via grove, andrus, spotted. curtis to marshall via washington and gardner, back up south hill. 40 miles. refreshing 20mph head wind going out. beat the snow by a few minutes. hope you all enjoyed the trainers.
