A message from WSBA about this year's WSBA numbers: With the road races starting this weekend, we wanted to get off on the right foot with the riders. With the new cloth numbers, since they are a lot more flexible they need to be stretched out and pinned on really well. Numbers getting crumbled/folded while riders were racing at the TT last weekend was a common sight. Officials are being instructed to inspect numbers as well as the placement on riders for best visibility. With the frame numbers we are recommending riders place the numbers on their bikes for the best visible position. If riders have their last year frame numbers, they can be used if the number is the same for 2009 or the riders number is updated. Attached are a couple pictures from last weekend with the new numbers from Rob Whitcare. Rob has also provided several pictures on his website for good and bad number placements for jerseys as well as frame numbers. gcracingllc.com/numberplacement.aspx
