Alan and I are pedaling to SRP from from my place at 5:00PM tonight if anyone wants to join us.
It's 10 miles away, mostly uphill, and it takes about 45 minutes if you're soft pedaling.

Results are out for the first Twilight Race: www.baddlands.org/results/2009_twilight_series_1_results.pdfThe A Pack race was a thing of beauty. Cooley and Gaertner got off the front and made it stick. There was all kinds of heroic krap happening just behind them that included Alan, Royce and Sirott. In the end SRV took 2 & 3. Way to lay it down, guys. If I spend this season content to hang with the pack, please shoot me. All good things happen off the front. Life is short, ride hard, no guts no glory and all that. Go SRV.

Pat Sprute Spokane Rocket Velo 5th, 3 points ... I'd say that's more than hanging with the pack I didn't know Alan got 1st in the field sprint (hard to judge from my strategic position in the back). Nice one.

Alan himself didn't know he got the pack sprint. When we crossed the line, me and the guy next to me just looked at each other, not knowing who won. I'd love to see the photos to see how close it was...

I'd love to see the photos to see how close it was... I was watching, and he was coming up on you, but you were still about a half a wheel ahead at the line Yeah, that was an exciting race to watch. Scott and Mike G. were building their lead steadily, which was smart since another team launched an effort to bridge the gap. I imagine it can be tricky working around the other groups and their stragglers, too.
