Normally I'm a pretty calm guy, but when I woke up this morning and saw four inches of snow in my backyard I unleashed a string of swear words and caustic defamations that would cause a mill worker to blush. Grumble...

Now, now, my cycling fiend friend. Did I not supply the forecast for you 2 months ago at spokanrocktvelo.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=lounge&action=display&thread=1184 ? There is no reason to be surprised. Regardless of what warm temps may come next week, remember that it will very likely be snowing at the end of April and the first really nice weekend is not suppose to culminate until the first weekend of June! The really bad news is that the extended forecast for the rest of the year and for the next few years is exactly the same as the last two years. This, all due to not just the lack of sun spot activity but the entire absence of sun spot activity. This cycle, the scientists say, could last from 2 to 50 years. They also state that the last time the sun went into this type of cycle, it lasted 50 years and created a sort of mini ice age in the northern hemisphere in the mid 1600's. These same experts went on to say that one may want to consider buying land in Costa Rica well before large segments of northern populations move south. Their other comment was that GLOBAL WARMING may end up being our friend and that Hummers may end up saving the planet. So, my friend, perhaps you should either buy 50 years worth of AmFibs and studded bike tires or find a Realtor in Costa Rica. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND a spot of beach around Drake Bay in Costa Rica. Google "Aguila DeOsa" to see pics. In fact, I'll go in with you on some Pacific beach front.
