It looks like a wet and cold night at SRP I'm up in the air on this one. Anyone planning to go for sure? Alan is in a tight race for the series 1, #1 and #2 spot! So that's a good reason to go. Anyone else?

Yup: I'll race in anything.
I'm going to ride from Downriver Grill at 5:15 in order to make it out there by 6 p.m.-ish, race, then ride home if not too wet/cold/exhausted. Bring lights.
See you there!
Alan

I'm planning to go. My plan is to take my mini-van, get there pretty early, and try to get plenty of warm-up time since I seem to need it. I have to admit, the forecast indicates it won't be easy going. 20mph winds with gusts to 28mph, coming from the north-east... that would be a headwind down the long part of the road course (assuming we ride it counterclockwise). Combine that with low temps and showers... brrr. (hourly forecast graph for Spokane Raceway Park itself)

I see on the Baddlands website that 1) the construction work on the racetrack is completed, so they will be using the whole track 2) the finish line will be on the dragstrip, so I guess this means finishing into a ~20mph headwind. Drag racing, yeah we'll be doing it... 3) numbers on the LEFT.

Cool, thanks Tom. It's dry here in NW spokane right now, but I'm thinking it's going to be pouring rain out there in Airway Heights tonight. The car options is sounding better and better.

The car options is sounding better and better. Yeah, especially for those groups that have to sign in and then wait around until it's time for their group to start.

Wow, that wind was dominating. But at least it didn't rain In my pack (B), Baddlands and Vertical Earth made up the majority of the pack, so I took David Goode's pre-race advice: try to join a break and work with them, indirectly benefiting from their team's interest in keeping the break off the front. That worked well, and I had a pretty good time and learned some stuff (like, watch out for that first hairpin corner! )

Congrats to all who showed up! As for me, I chose ancient wisdom over youthful exuberance.
