Well, SRV Race fans, it's the end of a long, hot, and exciting weekend of racing here in Sonoma. I will be the first to say I am glad to be heading home! SRV can celebrate another Silver medal!
Race results from today: I raced my first Short Track event, and what an experience! I was out pre-riding the course, so I missed my call-up to the front row starting position. So I had to start in the back of the group. Then because of that position, some guys in front of me slid out on a climb and I had to watch the top 10-15 guys just ride away. I rode hard, though, and in the next 5 or 6 laps of the 3-minute course worked my way up from 10-15th position to 1st. On the last lap, I was in a lead group of 3 and I was planning on sitting on the lead guys wheel to the finish for the sprint, and he cut the 2nd to the last corner a little bit tighter than I thought he would, and I buzzed his rear wheel, giving him a 5 second lead and the eventual win. I tried to get the 3rd place guy to lead out for a sprint, but he wouldnt go, so I just out-sprinted him for 2nd. It was a very exciting watch to watch, and really fun to race!
Don Anderson did very well, with a top 15 finish in his Short Track event in the expert field.
Kevin raced stong in a very fast Pro field and came up 18th! Over-all, a very good weekend for Spokane racers.

Hey Mark!
Nice work and thanks for the updates. As Wayne and Garth would say "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!"
