Yeah you should do it Tim. I think a few other guys are going over there. Scott B is going. And I bet you could talk Alan into driving out there. It's a great race. Lot's of CLIMBING on the road race.
I would race it if I had my racing mojo, but that's not going to happen.

Try public intoxication or urination once you get to Wenatchee. Free Room with meals included will be yours if you are lucky enough to get caught. Might be tough to post bond on the second morning though, with reapeat offenses.

Not a bad idea, Dale. But I wonder what my suitemates would think of a guy with shaved legs... Had not thought of that...no doubt in this case, you would be far better off to pony up for a room at a motel rather than spending two sleepless nights fearing for your safety.

Camping in Wenatchee is a GO!:
From Mike Sirott: I’m in for a road trip. The trailer will be “livable” by then. We’ve got a heater, stove, Dale’s shower, ice chest, DVD player, EZ-up, tables, and a mattress. Alan will find a campground Friday night and Saturday night, but we'll all drink some beer, everyone can do their little race thing, and I’ll go for some nice rides. Between the trailer and the EZ-up we can probably be comfortable with 3 people.
Does anyone have some camping equipment (e.g. tent, sleeping bags) that they'd be willing to loan us?
Who else is in?

Race day was sunny and warm; the course, 2000 some feet climbing each of the 33 miles lap. Here's a photo report of the Wenatchee Omnium 2009 road race portion: Here's Scott B. working hard to the finish line. Some hanging out at the finish line after the finish...catching up with my breath obviously... Wanna see some suffering? I present you Alan, at the feed zone, lap 2. And there he is again, riding away into the hills. More of Mike serving fellow riders at the feed zone...hard working man.

It would have been nice to use one of these as forum background; I just don't see one where anyone is having any fun.

On the contrary, I was having tons of fun! In fact, I was so exhausted and thirsty that I'd gone to Happy Town a few miles before that picture was taken. Unfortunately for me, though, it turns out that the mayor of Happy Town has raised taxes, cut off water to everyone, and installed endless miles of deep, dark, black tunnels lined with desperation. I hate Happy Town.
