Is this the same ride we did a couple weeks ago? (without Jerry) I have ridden to Deer Park but have not personally taken this particular route. Check the posted map...may answer your question. If people feel up to it, we could go on into Newport or Riverside for a food and water stop and for a little different route. Whatever the wishes of the masses!

Where to park? is it cool to leave our rigs in the NDBS parking lot or should we park at the mini mall over by that gas station? Dont wanna fill up spots for potential NDBS customers :-)

Dont wanna fill up spots for potential NDBS customers :-) Go just past NDBS and turn into the mini golf (whatever it is) parking lot and park behind the NDBS lot. The turn in is just a few feet north of the espresso stand just across the lot of the NDBS. You'll see us there.

Great turn out for today's ride but I must say that today was my worst day of riding all year. The last 10 miles of this 85 mile ride was so exhausting for me, that I could not get my legs to pedal faster than 8 miles per hour. Should I call that a BONK?
My Garmin reported 4,102 feet of ascent. Given the hammering done by the those that are older than the dust on the hills, I consider this a respectable ride.
Until the next time.

It was the perfect sized group for those roads. I liked the constant rollers with a few small climbs. Wish I would have taken some pics.

Thanks Dale for planning this (& the other) rides, I think I speak for all when I say we appreciate it.
Despite the legs screaming at me for the last 15 miles or so, it was still great fun. Quite challenging. Thanks to Dan, Mike, Dick and Jerry for taking turns pacing me back to the rest of the gang :-D
