I'm looking for a casual pace, 2-3 hour ride this afternoon. Anyone in?

I have a gig at 3:00. What did you have in mind? Weather is p-cloudy 1-4pm with a high of ~50d.

I could do it any time, either road or dirt

Dirt eh? There's a good loop we could do from here on dirt and paved roads...lets do it. 1PM at my place?
Eric, 3PM might be a little late for me, I'm thinking. Can you ride at 1PM?

I just committed to a 12:00 downtown. Maybe catch you next time.

My bad for making such a last minute decision. Which direction are you going from downtown?

That was a very diverse ride. We went out on Downriver and crossed the suspension bridge... ...then found the cyclocross race course and watched at this forest corner for a bit (Connor D. in this photo)... ...then hung out at the Start/Finish area for a while and saw Alan, Lonnie, David G. and a bunch of other people we knew... ...and then went up Carlson Road and were awarded an extremely friendly free dog, which followed us for quite a while despite our efforts to make it stay home. I think the dog must be Cat3 at a minimum, it had surprising speed and endurance...

Great pics Tom!
Cat3 dog? Can we put him in a jersey? I suppose that would put me in charge of the team mascot.
I can bring in a dog when the girls move out right?

Glad you liked the pics I think we should just tie a long-sleeve SRV jersey around the dog's neck so it flies like a superhero cape.

Tom, Nice clear video, looks like it was a helmet cam. What did you use?

Tom, Nice clear video, looks like it was a helmet cam. What did you use? I wish I had a helmet cam, but I have to make do with my Canon A610 and ride one-handed to shoot:

40mph down hill, cold weather, trails, riding one handed while filming: Nice job!
