This Sunday there's a ride being put together in Lewiston, Idaho... here's the detail posted on Ted Chauvin's Facebook page (below) and the link www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=248249954485

The ride is around 75 miles in length with about 7800+ feet of climbing. The plan is to start at 11:00 a.m. at the Red Lion Hotel. There are 3 major grades that we will ride (Anatone, Cloverland, and finally the Spiral highway). There are also two other hills (Lindsey Creek and Critchfield).
This is not going to be a "who's thingy is bigger" type of ride. Meaning, that it will be done at an easy endurance pace with the exception of the hills and grades. You can go as fast or as slow up them as you deem necessary.
This ride is not for the faint of heart. You need to have some sort of fitness right now to finish it. If you do come bring spare tubes and food...lots of food. I'm not pealing your ass off the ground if you bonk. In fact, I'll probably run you over since you should know better. We'll keep the stops to a minimum. Regrouping at the top of all hills and grades will be required and no more than riding two abreast on the flat sections. If you are dying after the first few grades you can easily cut out the Spiral highway which shortens the ride by nearly 16 miles and 2000 feet. Of course, you'll be known as a "two-hump-chump" if you do.
Feel free to send this invite out to others. All are welcome.
So... I've not done this specific route and the combination of 75 miles and 7800' of climbing is likely a bit much for my level of fitness, but... whatever! It seems like a GREAT idea
