It was one hot, hard day. Tough way to earn a t-shirt. But nobody puked (although I think a couple of us thought we were pretty close at different times) and we only got seriously buzzed once (white mini truck). Not sure why they call it the "hill of hope" . . . I had another name for it that I can't print on this family-friendly site. Volunteers were great, as usual. But the organizers need to figure out a way to get more water to the food stops on a 95 degree day. What made the ride great for me, though, was the way the SRV'ers pulled together and rode as a group and got each other through it. It made me proud of our club. Thanks to Monte, Jackson, Renee, Diana, Melanie, Rick and John. Stay cool! Pat

Geez Pat, wish I could have been there. Watched you all take off this mornng on the tube but it was my turn to usher at church today. Would have loved to have been there. Did manage to put in a 40 miler today starting at 12:00 noon...got awfully hot!! Had a great ride yesterday with the club out of Rosalia. We missed you. After yesterday's hot ride and the 40 miles today, I can tell you I would not have made 100. Have a good Monday and perhaps we'll see you Tuesday at the races.;D
