February 16th – 24th. Save the date to travel south for the week to ride bikes. Yes, yes, I know it’s winter and there’s still snow to ski on in Spokane. Tear yourself away from the snow for a week and travel south to ride.
I don’t know exactly where yet, but I’ll be driving south to ride for the week. Depending on the weather, Walla Walla is a possibility. California is another option. Any takers?

Nothing is set in stone, but given that I'll be riding the mountain bike all winter, I think I'll be itching to get back on the road by February. If you bring your mountain bike, I'll bring mine too ;D

Sounds promising, maybe a town with a trail or two and some nice road rides?? However you still did not answer the question about that nasty word (Training) I could be up for something like this.

Why is "training" a nasty word? Too roadie for you?? If you'd like, you can substitute the word "training" for the phrase "riding a lot".

Sure "riding a lot" sounds good. "Riding a lot" still includes Beer. ;D Maybe some research on good places to do some riding is next, Feb could be hard to get good weather....at least that is reasonably close.

I am interested.... last year we did the weekend training with Baddland's in Walla Walla and it was a good time.
The little bit close option means people could attend as their schedule allows, but the warm weather of a place like CA or AZ sure sounds nice in feb.
I will have to float the question here at work about taking a week in the time frame.

More food for thought: Share a condo or a suite. A kitchen means better food and cheaper. The location will probably depend on the weather near the time we're ready to go.
Reno NV, Marin County CA, Walla Walla, and Bend OR have been thrown out as posible locations.

Here's an update for anyone interested. "Spring Training" is next week. That is, I have the week off and plan to ride a lot. We've changed our mind on Boise because the weather in Spokane looks pretty much the same as the weather in Boise. Depending on the daily weather forecast, Goode and I may drive down to either Lewiston or Walla Walla for two days in the middle of the week. Anything for a few extra degrees Fahrenheit
