Gently used 1989 4 WD automatic push button Subaru GL sedan. Engine runs well. The transmission is bad and the car does not move, needs to be towed. It only grinds when put into any gear. The motor is good. A low mileage 1.8 fuel injected motor was put in the car when I bought it with 174,000 miles on the car (which now has 243,000).... FREE to first SRV MEMBER who comes and towes it....... Membership has it's benefits! (actually I'll buy you a beer if you come get it)

Why don't you cut a hole in the floor board and Fred Flinstone the car around. That way you can still look cool around town without the gas bill.

Aahh. Good advice coming from Seattle where everyone is nicer. I hear that everyone drives Subaru's in Seattle.

Yes this is the gem that was driven by the man himself, C. Mohr. Did I mention that it comes with wood beaded seat covers?

if you tow it to New York I'll buy you a beer and give you our SRV skinsuits (since I see there may be a glut on the market from Mr Johnson) ..... second thought maybe since it was Charlie's and such a piece of history it should be laid to rest on the NDBS property it would be a nice compliment the semi trailer grave yard of the Spokane north side... or third thought since cars are coffins, and my favorite artist, Ed Kienholz, was actually buried in his car, a 1939 packard, with a bottle of fine chiante and a deck of cards, Charlie should save the car for another 50 years and be buried with a spare tube and flat beer... oh yeah and he could be wearing Leslie's SRV skinsuit and the deer antler helmet, yep make Charlie keep the car.

Never mind a Parkard, a Subaru would be as good a coffin as any. Holz you might be on to something here but I'm not sure if I'm prepared to keep the car in my yard for the rest of Charlie's life.
As far as the Subaru coming to NYC, be careful about what you offer. What will the boys of Team DNKY/Signature say when a group of drunk guy’s shows up in Manhattan with an ‘89 Subaru and homeless bikes strapped to the roof requesting Scott Holz for Level I fit service. I assume the fee’s are set on a sliding scale. This will surely raise some eyebrows, if not bring up questions about your history in Spokane Washington.
I will take the skin suit off your hands if you would consider that an even trade. The unofficial word is that SRV might be hosting an event within the city limits of Spokane. As good as I think I’d look in the Medium that Bruce is selling, the Large would be just- modest-enough for the women and children around town.

This is quite possibly the funniest banter on SRV's webset to date. I can't really explain it to the folks standing outside my office door as I giggle like an idiot. Does Charlie know your getting rid of his car?

It's your last chance to own a legend! This weekend the Subaru is going away to the scrap yard.
Join me at my house this Saturday night for the Subaru's going away party.
