Not a huge fan of the Mason Lake series (narrow roads, mossy shoulders, and early season jitters make it kind of scary... ask Cooley). I did the Sequim RR (Tour de Dung series this year) last year and it was a much better race than Mason. Also word on the street is that Elkhorn has folded... I heard Baker City still wanted to do it but the people who have put it on in the past have opted to have a summer instead. www.wsbaracing.com/events is a better calendar than the pazzovelo one. My current calendar is looking something like: Tenatively Tour de Dung series, March 11th, 25th, and April 1st Frozen Flatlands TST April 14th Tour of Walla Walla Senior state race in Longbranch May 6th Mutual of Enumclaw May 19-20th Methow valley tour Boston Harbor State Circuit race June 23rd Then hit the July crits I may also hit more of the climbing heavy stage races as a domestic as needed for the climbers.

Thanks for the word about Elkhorn, too bad to hear it.
I’m going to try the Mason Lake race # 3 (3/17). Then Flatlands, Walla Walla, Wanatchee, Enumclaw, and Methow, and maybe another couple road races thrown in somewhere.
I was thinking about the tour de dung, but the thought of driving so far out on the OP turned me off. Do you take the ferry to get out there? On your word I think I’ll try to make at least one of the TDD. (assuming you can do only one?).
Mt. Hood was a consideration. Has anyone done it as a Cat4? Are the three stages worth going down there for?

I have always caught the Edmonds ferry out that direction; There is the possibility of doing the Mason, Tour de Dung double thus driving up from Mason and catching the ferry back on the way home, or just stay with one of the Seattle based SRV crew the night before then head out to race the next morning.
As for Mt. Hood Kelsey has done it as a cat 4, climbing invovled in that race still doesn't sound very friendly to me.

Excellent. Thanks Jackass. Stay tuned for more info on an SRV race this summer. The details are still in the works, I believe.
