Hello. I am planning on moving (hopefully soon) to the Spokane area. I am currently living in California, and I race road and MTB events. I currently ride for Mako / Galaxy Granola in the SF Bay area, and I am looking for a team to ride/race with in the Spokane area. I found your team website to very helpful. Questions: Are there any qualifications I need to join? If I join the team, when are membership dues required, and when will there be an order for a team uniform? (If I am accepted to the team of course!) Thanks Matt Rose (from California -- soon to be from Spokane)

Matt, You can download the membership app. from the website and the dues are $25. We are a racing club and we have a great time. There are going to be jerseys and such available this fall. I don't know exactly what we are going to have, but hopefully it will be enough for everyone who needs something. The order may not have been placed yet. I'm going to try to get a hold of the person who will be placing the order. You can check our ride calender here on the site. Just show up for a ride and see what you think. You can also stop by the North Division Bike shop and talk to some of the guys. You can reply to this email here and I will answer any questions you may still have. Rick

Yep, what Rick said.
I think the fall clothing order is about to go out, or has gone out. Forum member "LL" would be the one to contact about the clothing. Show up at the shop to get more of a feel for the type of riding we do, both road and mountain biking. see ya soon.

Thanks for the info. I will stop by on my next trip up there, probably the weekend of October 7th - 8th. I can pay my membership dues then, meet some folks, and hopefully get in on that clothing order if its not too late... Or at least get something after the fact.
I have heard it gets cold in Spokone. Here in California I can get away with knee warmers and a few layers with a wind vest on all but the coldest days. I guess I should prepare for some indoor spinning classes during the winter huh?
I'm really excited about my move, and the upcoming racing season. Hope to see you soon.

You're about to learn a new definition of winter riding. Knee warmers and a vests are what we wore on this evenings ride...I could just feel the fall coming. We ride all winter long, although the distances and ride times go way down as the weather gets colder. Night.

Hello,
Please take a look at the clothing order wish list on the bottom of our home page. You can send me a personal message regarding what items you would like and I will try to add it to the upcoming order.
If you have any questions regarding the clothes, please let me know.
I won't be in town the weekend of the 7-8th, but looking forward to riding in the future...

Matt:
Welcome to the Spokane area (if you make it here eventually). Spokane has absolutely terrific road and mountain biking options. There's stretches of trails or asphalt for all levels of riding. The only problem is that it's so darn addicting that you'll quickly become like an addict, always thinking about your next fix.
Pack smartly: The bike goes in last so it comes out first.
See you soon!

I've already ridden there quite a few times on my father in law's 35# Schwinn Le Tour. I've ridden the Spokane Valley area, around Liberty Lake, and up on that ridge above Liberty Lake (I dont know what its called). It is really a great place to ride. Where I ride now, I have flat farm roads with gravel trucks, commuters, and farm workers driving past me at more than 60 mph!!! Or --- I ride in the bay area around all of the traffic congested areas.
Yes, the bike goes in last... I've packed a few of the bikes in bike boxes to make it easier to move them. One bike will stay with me until I make the final move... Hopefully it will be sometime around mid-November.
