So on my ride this morning I noticed that the sweepers had cleaned up Buckeye (at least the westbound lane) just west of Division. Then on my ride home, I found out they had cleaned Upriver drive from Plantes Ferry to Argonne (almost). Spring is here and LIFE IS GOOD! Maybe tomorrow they will get that nasty flat section just west of Argonne and right before where it joins up with the river again.

It's always a telltale sign of spring when the streets are cleared of debris. Now's lets start cheering on the pot hole crew ;D

Anyone with connections to the street sweeping crew, could you pass on the following request? For those of you with a weak stomach, leave now....you've been warned!! Really.... A septic truck has recently driven up Argonne with apparently too full of a load. The driver obviously knew he had some leakage as he drove far over to the right, depositing said leakage in a 12 inch swath covering the entire fog line, and then some. Anyone riding up Argonne from the Valley, which is a nasty section of road until the shoulder re-appears, must now decide whether to ride in traffic to avoid the trail of waste, or in the waste, or over in the soft gravel. NAAAASSSSTY!!!! I'd suggest Lehman road for a while as a mandatory detour for those of you who prefer to not splatter your bike (or face) with human waste. Sorry for the detail, but trust me it is is better to know that to get surprised by it as I did.
