For those who cannot break away for Brian Houser's Graingeville ride, we will have a second option. Jerry and/or Dan G. will lead this ride as they are familiar with the route. Jerry will meet with me sometime this week to go over the precise route for mapping and we will provide that in the near future. The ride will start at 10:00am at the Deer Park City Park and will be roughly 100 miles of extremely scenic countryside, so I am told. Dan G. lead this ride last year and Jerry has designed a route just a shade shorter to come up with the 100 miles. More information to be posted this week sometime. Map: www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Deer-Park-Springdale-Flowery-Trail-LoopDistance: 104.1 miles Leader: Dan Gillespie Start Location: Deer Park City Park Start Time: 10:00am sharp we start riding (if you are going to be late call Dale or Jerry) Terrain: Flat to Mountainous (20 miles of mountainous road, 3990 ft of ascent) Average Speed: 16-18 mph Brisk on flats, 10-15 mph in mountains estimate Regroup: Occasionally (every 20 miles or so) Food and Drink: Deer Park, Chewelah, Davis Lake. Sunday, June 1, there are a small number of SRVer's doing varying amounts of the Loreen Miller Ride. Your on your own to meet up with SRV riders on this one. As for me, I will be doing a mountain bike ride on Sunday and am open to suggestions by anyone interested in joining me. More on Sunday later in the week. Dale P.

This looks great Dale; thanks for relaying the info from our decidedly computer illiterate members. This time of year there are just too many rides and too few weekends! I can't take the time to do Brian's ride this weekend. I think I'll join you guys for this one.
Do you know if we will be going over the Flowery Trail pass?? yippy.

I think so but that is why I need to meet with Jerry this week and map the route. I'm sure Jerry mentioned Flowery Trail and I know he metioned a pass. I'll keep you informed.

We have a change on this ride. We will leave Deer Park City Park at 10:00am rather than 9:00am. Dan Gillespie will be leading this ride and needs this time change due to his schedule. Again, ride starts at 10:00am NOT 9:00am at Deer Park City Park.Map: www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Deer-Park-Springdale-Flowery-Trail-LoopDistance: 104.1 miles Leader: Dan Gillespie Start Location: Deer Park City Park Start Time: 10:00am sharp we start riding (if you are going to be late call Dale or Jerry) Terrain: Flat to Mountainous (20 miles of mountainous road, 3990 ft of ascent) Average Speed: 16-18 mph Brisk on flats, 10-15 mph in mountains estimate Regroup: Occasionally (every 20 miles or so) Food and Drink: Deer Park, Chewelah, Davis Lake.

I had my rain jacket in my back pocket and was glad to have it. Had my leg warmers too but did not go so far as to use them. Oh well, it was a warm, dry rain, right?

Well, we did climb it twice, but we also added 10 miles by missing the turn onto Westside Calispel Road and going halfway up the pass a 3rd time . Did we get about 8 K of climbing?
