I read the blog and had to chuckle to myself. He is training for one of the most difficult stages of the tour de france by riding around central park. Last year when I was living in Brooklyn I took a Sunday morning ride through Manhattan to Central Park. It's greatest challenge is about a twenty foot vertical elevation climb. The only thing Central Park trains you to do is not go dilusional from riding around in a circle. You also get to spot all the overly expensive bikes people are riding because they make insanely too much money.
The best part about my central park ride was zipping home at 30 miles an hour down broadway with the taxi's trying not to get hit.

I've heard about the circuit race that they have there in central park in the mornings. I hear it's quite a pissing match!

Hmm, yet one more thing I wish I would have seen while over there.
