David, have you got a map to the area you can post? I would be interested in coming along but have no idea where it is.

Yes it's in Canada and No on the map posting . It's just outside Rossland. Keep in mind, 6-7 hours for 21.5 miles.

I did this ride a couple of years ago and it truly deserves the word "epic" attached to it. I've never had my hand cramp from pulling on the brakes for so long. These trails are fantastic, the scenery is amazing, the weather will be great, and I'm sure the riding will be epic.
See you there,
Alan

Let's not forget that either a Passport or an Enhanced driver license will be required to get back into the Great U.S.A.

Do we have a house, hotel, or campsite planned? I'd love to be in for the long haul--both days--so let me know.

Sean: when you come--that is, if they let you across the boarder ;-)--will you bring my SRV jersey? I think you've had it since around 2004 or so. :-)

There's a 8-minute-too-long video that someone put together that shows a good portion of the trail:

FYI. As of right now, I have three rooms reserved. I need to know who will be needing them. So e-mail me or phone or post or whatever. Also there is a slight chance the Doc will tell me not to go in light of my broken ribs....if that is the case we will need to transfer the name on the rooms to people that would be going! I think at this point I'll be going. take that Doc.

According to my computer Seven Summits + the Dewey trail is just at 21 miles. You climb about 4200 feet and descend just under 7000. You climb a total of 8.5 miles but burn about 11.5. IMBA epic!

Lonnie, David, and I were able to get up to Rossland, B.C. a couple of days before the 7Summits ride. What follows is 2 minutes (plus a minute or so of bloopers) from that trip.
