so i went on a beer run to the store today, everything was fine, birds were chirping, the sun was out, boys and girls were holding hands. when all of a sudden i had a homeless bike failure. the rack had broken off and 12 beautiful beers went crashing into the tarmac. there were only 4 survivors.

Lonnie, the picture you painted was so beautiful. Life can take some sudden turns.
I mourn the deceased.
I celebrate those who lived.

Lonnie: Just the other day you were bragging to me about how your FAA-approved tie-downs for your rack were so strong they would hold a jet to the ground, and mocked my "leftover strands of copper wire from a previous home-ownering job" system. In fact, you even offered some of the tie-downs, which I respectfully turned down.
While I feel bad for your loss--a cold beer is a terrible thing to waste--it just goes to show that you can't "church up" a homeless bike. The Gods of the Homeless Bikes have spoken. :-)
