In case you've been in a cave for the past couple of weeks, the Olympics were just held in China. There's been some great cyclists and some pretty bad announcers. Check out NBC's coverage at www.nbcolympics.com/cycling/index.html. They have a monopoly on Olympics' coverage here in the States, so you'll get the good with the bad (see above). I really recommend checking out Kristin Armstrong's coverage of winning the women's time trial. She's from Boise, but if that last name sounds familiar it's because she's the sister of Spokane's famous Armstrong, Chris. www.nbcolympics.com/cycling/news/newsid=206664.html#armstrong+wins+time+trial+goldAnd though the ending is not too happy--let's just say we don't have a strong track program--the US team gave it their all in track cycling. Check out www.nbcolympics.com/video/player.html?assetid=0819_sd_ctb_rc_ce317&channelcode=sportcy for an overview then watch the "Related Video" on that page for some fun racing, e.g. keirin, where they cheat by using a motorcycle and have some very odd camera angles...
