I don't mean to start any rumors or make any promises, but all I'm saying is that Winter Solstice is on Sunday December 21st. Last year's ride was a highlight of the fall and a fine way to welcome and even embrace the inevitable cold and darkness of winter. What will this year bring? www.spokanerocketvelo.com/wintersolsticeride2007

That's a great report - it almost make winter look like fun. Rumors of a rumor are hereby substantiated and I strongly suspect that things will be bumped up a notch. Although the Solstice lands on the 21st, I propose we celebrate on the 20th - Sat rules over Sun for this kind of thing and I'm sure we can figure out some way to justify it. We're making the rules up as we go, after all. Stay tuned.

The 21st works for me. What better day than the darkest day of the year on the birthday of yours truly, the prince of darkness. (I'll be out of town on the 20th)

I'm in for the ride and probably/possibly even organizing it. My wife is have a girls-night-in that same night so I've got to make myself a shadow. Who's still going on this?
